Seeing repeating behaviours but not sure what to do about it? This course is for you.
Time & Location
18 May 2023, 15:45 – 17:15
Sunnyside Academy, Manor Farm Way, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough TS8 0RJ, UK
About the event
Children often engage in repeatable actions such as lining objects up, posting through holes and throwing across a space. These are called scheme and practitioners can use them to develop a much more purposeful provision if we spend time tuning in.
This training is about tuning into those behaviours, understanding why they happen and thinking about what we can do next to support children.
Delegates will learn:
- The difference between scheme and schema.
- The origin of the theory and how it has developed.
- How to spot the 24+ different actions.
- How to seed (enhance) based on these behaviours.
- How to divert some of the more destructive/disruptive behaviours.
All delegates can receive a training certificate (via email) for this event.
This training is designed for staff working with 0-5 year olds including ECTs, RQTs, New to Early Years staff & those wishing to deepen their understanding of provision.
Please note a minimum number of delegates are required for this event to run. This event may be cancelled 48 hours before if insufficient tickets are sold.
Settings can pay by invoice - please select 'manual payment' at checkout. I will then send an invoice to you ASAP.
